いきなりですが、クイズです。
一枚目の中で天然木はどれでしょうか！
正解は・・・一番右です！
自分でクイズと言いながら、明らかに木目が違うのですぐ答えを言いました（笑）
一般的に年輪と言われますが、専門的にいうと線のような濃い部分を冬目といいます。
この冬目の感覚が狭いものかつ濃い色合いが天然木です。
真ん中と左は人工木ですが、真ん中の方が木材としてはよいものです。
理由としてはこの冬目の感覚が空いていると水分を吸水しやすいからよくありません。
逆に天然木は水分を吸収しづらく、柔らかくて軽いです。
天然木は直径40cmで樹齢300年近くで、1メートル立方メートル（あくまで大体の大きさです）ほどで50万円程します。
一方天然木は成長が早く樹齢80～130年程で5万円程になります。
しかし実際の製品にすると10倍もするわけではなく、ちょっと割高な程度で収まります。
今はこだわる人が少ない為、あくまで値段を高くできないそうです。
当店に相談して頂ければ、天然木で作ることはできます。
ただ時間は3ヶ月はみて頂けたらと思います。
仕入れから乾燥、加工まで全て職人さんの手によるものなので時間がかかる為です。
その代わり、人工木より長持ちして使うことができます。
ちなみに檜は四万十ひのきより木曽桧が、杉は飛騨杉より秋田杉がよいと言われている理由はこの冬目の感覚が寒い方が狭くなるからです。
また木製品の取り扱いについてお話します。
まずは桶についてですが、桶を保管する場合は底を上面にした方がよいです。
理由としては木は乾燥して縮みますが、留め具がそれによりずれることがあります。
その際、底を上にしていると重力の関係で外れづらくなります。
また水が漏れてしまうようになりましたら、水に2～3日つけてみてください。
そうすると膨張して隙間が埋まります。
これは木が生きていて呼吸しているからであり、正常なことであります。
もちろん故障している場合もありますが、そうなった場合は一度試してもらえたらと思います。
ウレタン塗装もされていない木材そのままの場合、繊維が割れるほどの凹みはどうにもなりませんが、
同じ理由で水を浸したティッシュをつけておくと治ることもあります。

余った木材の圧着も万力のようなもので一晩固定します。

The reason is that the wood dries and shrinks, but the fasteners can slip out of it.
At that time, if the bottom is up, it will be difficult to remove due to gravity.
If water starts to leak again, soak it in water for 2-3 days.
Then it will expand and fill the gap.
This is normal because the tree is alive and breathing.
Of course, it may be broken, but if that happens, I’d like you to try it once.
In the case of wood that is not even urethane coated, the dents that would break the fibers will not help.
For the same reason, applying a tissue soaked in water may cure it.
