先日社長が日帰り出張で貴重な体験をしてきましたのでしばらくは木曽の情報共有致します。
日本での木材としては、檜といったら木曽檜です。
もう1つ有名な檜は四万十ひのきですが、寒さで育つ方が良い木材となるので木曽桧のほうが良いとされています。
そんな木曽ですが、他にもサワラやスプルス材も使って木工関連で栄えております。
今回は私達の仕入先へお邪魔してきました。
こちらの会社には在庫はもちろん、加工もしています。
最初の写真は木材の接着です。
木材は乾燥の次に、いかに木材のロスを減らすかということが大事だそうです。
なので何枚かを耐水ボンドと高周波で圧着してハギと呼ばれる木材を作ります。
反対にそのままの木材のことは一枚板と呼ばれます。
木材をよく見るとハギなのかどうかが分かります。
次の縦に長い機械はパネルカッターです。
3mまで対応しています。
他の機械はまな板の作成やヤスリ掛けの機械です。
オレンジと茶色の倉庫は除湿乾燥機です。
24時間稼働しており、ゆっくり乾燥させるよう温度調整がされています。
最低でも3ヶ月、長いと1年ほど除湿乾燥させ、一旦外に戻してから加工されます。
木は切っても生きていますので管理がとても大変です。
